Head Consultant

Mark Bradley

The director of MBA, Mark, has worked all over the world providing psychological support; he has worked in the foremost practises in the public, private and charitable sectors. Originally working with disadvantaged children in the UK Mark gained a place on a specialist training programme in America and went on to work throughout the USA.

He spent six years working and developing his professional practise with the NHS before returning to America to study at Colby College. On his return he again worked for the NHS before volunteering to a six month programme with MSF training psychologists in Tsunami affected Indonesia.

He set up MBA to support a specific clientele that, through his experience working with blue chip clients in law, air transport, sports and industry, he recognised as requiring a unique approach defined by their influential positions. He is presently conducting a major piece of Doctoral research into Applied Positive Psychology and Obesity.

Angelo Jaxon

Angelo Jaxon is a vastly experienced clinician who has worked with a wide range of clients in some of the most challenging sectors in the UK. He is highly specialist in the field of substance abuse and very experienced in a wide range of programmes.

Mr Jaxon takes the lead at MBA regarding all aspects of substance abuse ranging from confidential, discreet work with individuals to consulting with business on all aspects of their substance abuse policies and integrated psychological interventions. He is also MBA’s lead on sexual health and sexuality issues.

MBA offer a unique corporate programme regarding substance abuse and sexuality in particular recognising the sensitivity our high worth clients have when addressing such issues where discretion and confidentiality are of maximum concern. Through our experience MBA recognises your companies’ desires not only to support your vital staff but also to protect your reputation and minimise the risks associated with such issues.

MBA Associate Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Keedwell

Dr Paul Keedwell is a general adult psychiatrist with extensive consultant-level expertise in the modern treatment of psychiatric and psychological disorder. His assessment techniques maximise outcomes by tailoring state-of-the-art interventions to a patients’ complex needs.

He trained at the Maudsley Hospital and the Institute of Psychiatry in London, where for twelve years he became skilled in the management of a wide range of mental health problems, of all severities, and ran specialist tertiary clinics in the management of treatment-resistant depression and bipolar disorder, depersonalisation disorder, ADHD and alcohol dependence.

He is a Clinical Lecturer at the Cardiff School of medicine and a visiting Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry in London and has published widely on the neurobiology of depression. He is committed to public dissemination of the latest advances in mental health science in the Press and on Television.

His book “How Sadness Survived”, which received much attention in the media, helps to demystify mood disorder.

Joy Waddington

Joy is a highly experienced counsellor who has worked widely with blue chip companies in banking, transport and travel; she has brought that experience to bear on the emerging field of online therapy.  Joy can offer guidance and advice to people experiencing problems in relationships, work, or life; her work via therapeutic journal writing provides clients with long term positive change and great personal satisfaction. MBA has many clients who spend part of their working lives abroad, online therapy allows the client to utilise MBA professional services from almost anywhere in the world.

For clients in the UK Joy provides this effective, specialised service to clients who may feel more comfortable discussing mental health concerns via email. Joy and MBA feel working online puts a client at greater ease and feels less intimidated than they would in traditional settings. This makes clients more likely to be honest and thus allow the counsellor to provide effective treatment. Online therapy has a positive relationship with joint working so face to face work is always available.
