Psychological support for Tsunami survivors

In 2005 Mark volunteered for MSF and left his role as Senior Mental Health Specialist with the NHS to go to Banda Aceh to support the relief mission in post Tsunamis Indonesia. He worked there in a team of three, treating victims, training psychologists, setting up local clinics and providing other involved organisations with psychological support. On leaving, the United Nations mission in Indonesia described the project as the ‘’best example of post Tsunami psychological support in Indonesia’’.

Since then Mark has supported MSF, he remains on their list of trainers for volunteers who are embarking on overseas work and is holds full membership of the organisation. Mark Bradley Associates also offers its support to MSF both financially and personally; they are working towards being able to support associates who wish to take a sabbatical and work overseas with MSF.

MBA also provides pro bono work for Veterans and their families from the armed services, offering psychological support, guidance and advice. They work closely with organisations such as Combat Stress to help ensure members and former members of the armed services are not left isolated and suffering.

We look after those Veterans who come to us with a wide range of mental health issues. We are experts with providing care for those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), although we can and do work with other conditions.
